Position Overview: The Jewelry Quality Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the jewelry manufacturing process, from waxing to the final finished product. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of jewelry craftsmanship, and the ability to implement and maintain quality control procedures. Key Responsibilities: 1. Quality Control Process: · Establish and maintain quality control procedures for each stage of the jewelry manufacturing process, including waxing, casting, setting, polishing, and final inspection. · Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. 2. Inspection and Testing: · Perform detailed inspections of wax models to identify any defects or inconsistencies. · Monitor casting processes to ensure precision and adherence to design specifications. · Examine stone setting and finishing to verify the quality and durability of the final product. · Use specialized tools and equipment to measure and test the quality of materials and finished jewelry pieces. 3. Defect Analysis and Resolution: · Identify and document any defects or quality issues in the manufacturing process. · Collaborate with production teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions. · Develop and implement strategies to prevent recurrence of quality issues. 4. Documentation and Reporting: · Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions. · Generate regular reports on quality control activities, highlighting trends and areas for improvement. · Communicate quality control findings and recommendations to management and production teams. 5. Compliance and Standards: · Ensure that all jewelry products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. · Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in quality control techniques. · Train production staff on quality control procedures and standards. 6. Continuous Improvement: · Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency. · Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor their effectiveness. · Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the manufacturing team. Requirements Requirements: · Proven experience in quality control within the jewelry manufacturing industry. · Strong knowledge of jewelry production processes and quality standards. · Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. · Ability to use precision measurement tools and testing equipment. · Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement effective solutions. · Good communication and interpersonal skills. Education: Relevant certifications in quality control or jewelry manufacturing are a plus.
